About Us
We started our enterprise in 1983. In a little timber house we opened a
refreshment room. My wife was cooking and I was doing the serving
and the other duties there. With our excellent homemade food and
familiar atmosphere more and more people started to visit us. We grew
out the buffet and needed to extend the kitchen and the serving room
as well. With extending the timber house, it became a restaurant for 40
people.
In the summer of 1990 a Dutch tourist was looking for a campsite. I told
him where he could find one, but he was just saying that it has to be
here and was showing exactly the place on his map where my
restaurant was, so I promissed him by next summer there was going to
be a campsite there.
I took up a credit and the 1. of May in 1991 we opened the campsite as
well with 8 timber house for 4 people and place for 25 caravans. We
established there a 5x10 meters swimming-pool with a paddling pool
and a play-ground for children. Because of its central situation you can
get to several central places for instance: Esztergom, Visegrád,
Budapest, Vienna, Pozsony, Balaton, Sopron. In 2003 was opened a new thermal bath in Győr. It is just 15 minutes with car from us. It is a good program for a family for an all day.
The zoo in Győr is still more beautiful, it is from our campsite 5 km ( You can ride bike to this in 4-5 minutes ).
In 1994 our campsite won the honrofic first prize in the competition
called: The best campsite in Europe. After a while it was a claim to
build rooms with all modern conveniences and a bigger restaurant as
well, so we decided to go on.
By the end of 1995 our new restaurant had opened with 4 pansion
rooms. In 1997 plus 7 rooms and in 1998 plus 6 rooms had been built.
We set the rooms out with bathroom, toilett, refridgirator and satelit
TV, and from the summer of 2002 with air-conditioner.
